Dear Aurelia Your book has completed stage 1 of its journey, I saw Anne yesterday, one of my lacemaker friends, and gave her your book. She will pass it to her daughter, Pamela, who works for an airline and she will post it when she crosses the pond next. I may, or may not, hear anythingmore before it reaches you.
Just a word of warning. Don't scream everytime your proofreader's feelings get exasperated. I wrote the book using Word 2000 and made it do things I should not have managed. However, my computer was not really man enough for the job and in the end it was not saving all the corrections I typed in. Also it was confused by the fact that sections don't only apply to pages but also to columns and the text was a mixture of both. Hence the problems I had with page numbers! Unfortunately I did not realise this until after it was printed. If you like to keep a list of them as you find them you will be a great help if ever I have a reprint, and I think it quite likely. As soon as the dictionary goes to press I shall continue working on the sequel All about making - Floral Bucks Point Lace. I have written the first chapter and am having problems knowing how to continue - but we shall see ------ Looking forward to my next quota of homework.
