Yes, to the predicament of the pattern fitting the roller, or larger than, or just laying a great long length of pattern in a U around the roller - which I've tried, but my favourite advice to myself is, don't fight your materials...If whatever it is isn't working for you, try something else (so, I like to have the pattern fit around the roller, or use a roller for this but a block pillow for that..).
