Thank you Catherine. A real loss. the books are wonderful to use .
It is so hard to realize what we have in talent, until we lose it.

<Hello All! I survived the EGA seminar/50th year celebration & lived to
tell the tale!!>

Dear spiders

Having just read Susan's email about the EGA seminar/50th year celebration,
I realise that we have some embroidery folk on the list. I had a telephone
call from Roy Hirst yesterday morning to tell me that his wife Barbara had
passed away peacefully in her sleep late last Saturday night. Barbara & Roy
Hirst have had two books published on figural Stumpwork and are acknowledged
for the revival of Stumpwork in the UK. I am sure that many of you have
copies of their two books and some of you in Sydney may recall seeing
pictures of their beautiful Millennium Casket which I showed when giving a
talk last year at the Australian EGA 50th Anniversary.
