"A Sixteenth Century Industry". Printed by Bonaventure Press, Northampton,
and Published by H. H. Armstrong, B.C.W.A. Olney, Bucks., England.

This book is also mentioned in the first of Pam Smith's articles on Alice (Bill) Clark, Lace 92. This series of articles relates to the articles that Bill collected, and I recall there were quite a few mentions of the Agency. There is also mention of the Bucks Cottage Workers Agency in Liz Bartlett's "Lace Villages", and the bibliography to that book lists a book about the Victorian and Edwardian Lace Associations, (published in 1973) and reference to documents held by the Bedfordshire Local History group.

The likelihood is, Jeri, that there have been "consolidating" books and/or articles written regarding the history of such agencies, but if they were written in the time around 1912 when there was a move to get lace taught in adult education, there is a possibility that they may still be in copyright, but not in print, and thus may well be presently sitting archived in a black hole away from library shelves. In the current economic climate, it would be very unlikely that such specialist interests books would be republished by the copyright holders, and it would be illegal for anyone else to reproduce them without their permission.
