I received a message from Avital about the photos. I'm off for a short
summer (!) holiday in a couple of hours so as soon as I come back I will
sort that out. I have had more information since I posted the message. It
was stolen in Italy and not in Peniche as I thought before. It was pinned to
a display board and one second it was there and in another it was gone!
I can assure all that it was a beautiful shawl because Edith only works
beautiful lace! I simply love to watch her work because her hands simply
dance ballet on her pillow while producing such neat lace. She lives and
breathes lace and it shows in her work. At present, although now she is
preparing to work the shawl again, she is working on a bedspread for a
double bed. It is her own design, but with the character of Maltese lace and
needs soooo many bobbins! ....a huge undertaking. Anyway, I'll tell you more
when I get back.

I hate to think that anything has been stolen. Some people are
unbelievable! One consolation is that at least the people thought it
worth something! Therefore they must have thought it good enough.

The photos did not come through with the message, is it possible to
put them on arachne webshots so that we can see them?
