Moving to lace, since there are people here who are more knowledgeable than I am, but who do not subscribe to lace-chat.

Hi I am usually a lurker, but would like to know if this item is a type of honiton lace, or as I suspact something like Branscombe that has fillings put

This seller has other items for sale that are also described as Honiton.

You're right; it's not Honiton but something more along the lines of Branscombe or Battenberg. Not only the outlining taps are pre-made (machine) but the leaves are too.

However. Please note that the pattern itself bears a -- preprinted -- title "Honiton Point". And there lies the difference: not Honiton, but Honiton *Point*. I've seen different names attached, at different times, to the laces made with pre-made tapes (and other elments, such as leaves, "pearls", etc), which use a needle (point) in their construction. Honiton Point is one of them (Renaissance Lace seems to be another)
