Jacquie - I'm not sure if I've answered before *tomorrow* in your part of the world! But if you do get the opportunity to chat with Bridget about the little face 'motifs' I'm sure all of us would want to hear her reply!! That would be absolutely super!
Since my last post on the topic, I would like to also thank Antje, Andrea and Carolina - and so many of you who provided diagrams and pointed me to other references to help me out too. This is going *above and beyond* .... :o) Thank you all so much. My *assignment* now is to organize and copy/paste the information to a page for printing.... and then testing on my pillow. Also, Alice, the suggestion to enlarge the photo and trace out the path of the pairs is a good one - which I shall do first so that I don't get lost in my meanderings once I get into it. :o) These will all be valuable notes to tuck into my text book also. I think I can cope from here - but definitely interested in what Bridget would say - and I know just where to go if I get bogged down again later! sincerest thanks! I am seeing Bridget tomorrow so if you like I will take the book and ask her, then report back. For myself I'd put money on whirlpools, to match the ones worked over 6 plaits at her shoulders.
