Subject: [lace] Knitted lace repair

A good friend of mine has recently had the task of repairing a lace shawl
which had bad holes in it, possibly due to mice. She did a very good job on
it but has asked me the following:

"I would love to do a course on how to repair stuff like this properly - I
am sure one exists - somewhere fancy like the Royal School of Needlework
perhaps - or one of the big European or American museums. ever heard of such
a thing?"

Does anyone know of such a course?
