Hi, everyone. Christmas is nearly here, and I think I'm almost ready for once. We are having snow AGAIN here in Dubuque, Iowa. We've had over 20" so far this winter, much more than we usually get. Our White Christmas is out of control! I fear we will set another snowfall record by spring.
I have three pillows with work in progress. Two of them are Jean Leader's designs from the Beginning Beds class that I took from her in Rockford, IL last August. The butterly is finally almost finished, and the little round motif is about 1/3 done. I'm doing it in white thread now, but I'd like to make another one in Christmas colors. Thanks, Jean! My leaf-shaped tallies are improving. The third pillow project is a Bucks Point handkerchief edging from Geraldine Stott's book, "A Visual Introduction to Bucks Point Lace". This is becoming a long-term project, but maybe during the coming snowy winter I can make lots of progress. Also after Christmas, I'm eager to make bells and hearts from "Schneeberger Kloppelmotive" by Brigitte Bellon. Merry Christmas to all of you! I love reading your e-mails every morning. ---Ruth In snowy Dubuque, Iowa, USA - To unsubscribe send email to [email protected] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [email protected].
