Hi Jeri! I laughed & laughed when I read your lace cleaning directions!!! This is a good thing--really, no sniping intended. In one of those Victorian booklets that have been digitized & posted on the net, I have seen "lace cleansing" instructions that specified using: green tea, gin or smelling salts. So yes--I would drink the last rinse if it were green tea or gin! Susan, on Grassy Key where we are expecting another cold front & temps in the 30's tonight.
