I seem to remember an appeal a few years ago in a copy of the UK Lace Guild
magazine 'Lace' by Jonathan? Page of the Honiton Lace Shop for any
information regarding the theft of a lace dress from the shop. Didn't see
anything more about it, so assume it was never returned.
The there was a recent appeal from Karen in Malta regarding the theft of a
lace shawl. Was it ever recovered?
So it seems that some people still do value lace and are willing to steal it
from shows or displays as Jane said.
