I did it! I finally finished my Bedfordshire butterfly, which I started
last May on a course with Christine Springett.
Once I got the rolled tallies out of the way (they kind of scared me), I
was determined to finish it,
and this afternoon I tied off the last of the bobbins.
I'll leave it on the pillow for a couple of days for the threads "to
set", before carefully cutting off the threads,
taking out the pins .... and turning it over to see the finished product.
Hopefully, not too many mistakes will show, and it looks kind of
reasonable for a first proper Beds piece.
If so, I'll let you know; if not ..... well, I'll hide in shame.
In the meantime, I'll go back to my other pillow, and my long length of
Bucks point.
Agnes Boddington - Elloughton UK, where the wind is howling and a cold
blast from Russia with lots of snow
is forecast for tomorrow.
