That's been my theory. I just watch my bobbins and periodically add twist. The clue (for me) is when the thread starts twisting up on itself, like a rubber band or cord that's got too much twist. Too much or too little causes those kinks, and I stop to roll my bobbins around on the pillow. If I don't, they continue to untwist until the fibers/plies are separating--then I better deal with it quickly (and very gently) or they'll part company. Robin P.
