[lace] Fires

I hope that none of our friends 'down under' have been caught in the 
current bush fires raging in Victoria and S.Australia.  Maybe one of 
them might be able to tell us about the situation.
Here in Sawbridgeworth we, at the moment, have missed the worse of the 
snow, as we do the flooding when it rains.  We count ourselves very 
lucky that slight differences in height have such effect.
As Cath Barley says a good excuse to make lace.
