Heard at Stevenage Lace Day yesterday that Ken of Chrisken Bobbins had
died suddenly. British lacemakers will remember his lovely ebony
bobbins inlaid with mother of pearl.
The talk was on beads 'To bead or not to bead', very interesting by a
lively, delightful lady. Sadly , at the moment, it was their last lace
day. Le's hope someone will revive it.
Sheila in Sawbo' where it is warmer but overcast, another excuse to sit
at the pillow.
