Hi Everyone

I've been rather quiet on arachne recently, largely because I'm doing a lot of
embroidery (one can do embroidery with a magnifying lens, but bobbin lace is
awkward). On the off chance that you might like to see some lacy
embroideries, here is the address to my page on a social network for fibre
enthusiasts that I have joined.

Move down the page to the section labeled "photos", click on "view all" and
you will see a few pages of thumbnails, which you can click on to see larger
images.

I haven't put all my recent embroidery up on that site (the larger pieces will
require me to figure out how to use my digital camera first).

All the embroideries I've been doing recently fall into the categories of
pulled thread work and Hardanger. The former makes holes by stitching with
strong tension, but without removing any threads of the fabric. The latter is
a drawn thread and cutwork technique with specific stylistic parameters. All
the pieces are my own designs, except one Hardanger piece (which is an
adaptation).
