I have a feeling there are a couple of Mid Downs Lacemakers on the
list... or others that have done their tablecloth as a group project.
Having bought the books, we are planning to make a start later this year
(when we've got a bit further with our "Movement" project), and to work
the cloth in ecru cotton (Madeira Tanne 30 if possible - otherwise, has
anyone tried the new Coats Cotton 30 - reports back from the class are
that it is not good for sewing, but that won't necessarily be the same
for bobbin lace). Obviously, it would make sense to buy all of the
thread in one go if possible, to avoid different dye batch problems. If
anyone has worked the cloth, or squares from it, can you remember how
much thread it took?
