Very dramatic mantilla.  Where did the idea to make the comb so high come
from?  Was it show you could show off the lace to advantage or was it to gain
height if you were on the small side? :-)

Sister Claire, Was the Pope wearing any lace when you saw him?  Pity we don't
have a photo of you sitting in your VIP seat.  What a wonderful experience for
you, kind of like being in the presence of the President if you were an
American.

<I was able to attend the pope's Mass in Jerusalem this week. Because of my
participation in the logistics and infrastructure work in the weeks that
preceded his arrival, I was given a seat in the VIP section, where I had a
great view of everything.

Also in the VIP section were the Knights and Dames of the Holy Sepulcher, an
honorary and charitable order. They arrived in their traditional costumes,
which included black lace headcoverings for the Dames. One of them was
wearing a very impressive mantilla. You can see pictures of it here: <

It would be interesting to here if the lace is as special as it looked to me
or if I'm just easily impressed!
