Keep in ind that lanolin will yellow with age, so be careful about touching
threads. As an example, a gentleman commented on my lace knitting at the mall
while we were both waiting, and that the Fisherman sweater he bought in Ireland
was so very yellow, and I explained to him that silk and wool yellow with age,
but lanolin greatly accelerates it. I have a sweater of the same vintage but
has not yellowed like that, largely because the lanolin was removed in
processing. (And of course the fishermen wanted the lanolin in as it helped
make the sweater water resistant when they were at sea).

Perhaps to keep in mind if you are expecting your work to last or be passed on,
as I am certain it will. (Otherwise they will be forced to use Synthrapol to
remove the lanolin later. <tease, tease, as per recent list conversation to
not use Fairy (or Dawn?) on bobbin lace> :-)
