"Lace is the simple art of making holes in fabric" - eeeek! That's even
worse than what you constantly read about winding the thread around the
pins, and I thought that was as bad as it got!
If you start with fabric you may create something that has or gives a "lacy"
effect - but it isn't really lace. To make lace you start with thread, not
fabric. Should someone write to those people?
