Mark, how nice to see photos of such an event: people in historic
clothing, others, like yourself, demonstrating
traditional crafts.
Here in the northern parts of the UK a lot of the craft shows I go to,
and where I often demonstrate bobbin lace, tend to be a
collection of some real crafters and another lot that buy cheap "tat"
(sorry about the pun, but is a Yorkshire word) which they pass off as
handmade, but sometimes they forgot to remove the
"made in China" or similar label.
