I don't know where Francis stayed in Denmark but I think he must have been unlucky, I have been many many times and never experienced anything close to his experience.
I attended the Lace Festival in 2004, I had a car so I stayed a little way out of town. The bed was comfortable, shower worked well, there was a kitchen available to make meals. I don't think I could have found anything better. My accomdations was in a private home, and there were many other guests there as well. I will admit, Denmark is expensive but what isn't these days? And.....it's only a matter of a few days.....we have to splurge sometime! I would suggest writing to the Tønder Tourist Board for accomodations. http://www.romo.dk/international/en-gb/menu/turist/turist-maalgruppe-forside. htm The Tønder lace festival is very popular, I have heard it being called creme del la creme! If you get the opportunity to go, I totally recommend it! Irene Whitham Surrey, BC - To unsubscribe send email to [email protected] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [email protected].
