So sad, but the same old story regarding lace, our own local colleges gave
up all the lace tuition classes because they said they were unviable but the
classes had had their fees raised time after time so that they priced
themselves out and the few who could afford to continue were not given the
chance.  It's about time that they realised that these crafts are important
not only to us but to future generations, the art of lacemaking will die out
completely  if we do not fight to keep it alive.
