I will now report that I have almost read all the Bulletin and have only to decide which classes and tours I want this summer. I was not in such a hurry to see the offerings as in past years as I was able to view the class choices at the Portland Lace Society website over the last few months. Nice to see that they are arranging an Arachne luncheon this year so we will all be able to meet up again. Go here and choose the IOLI Convention, then Classes and you will be able to see photos of some of the laces being offered. I also noticed that the mailing date is February 1, so better make some decisions soon.
http://portlandlacesociety.net/convention.html Cindy did a nice job again with the Bulletin. There are articles by other Arachne including Liz Ligeti in Australia, Tamara Duvall, and I even spotted a book review from Pene Piip. Lots of nice needlelace info for me. I agree completely!! Devon, in her wonderfully inquisitive/humerous/direct manner has given us a fabulous romp through a lace mystery which kept me absorbed until the end. I'm so impressed with Devon's determination to follow every lead to the next resolution!! Like you, Janice, I'm inclined to study the Convention listings first in the winter issues. I acknowledge that I did go through the convention details (briefly), and then spent a very pleasant time giving Devon's article all of my attention!! The pictures which grace the covers (back and front) of the issue add considerably to the pleasure of the article. What magnificent pieces of lace!!! And the fact that they're in New York just make me want to book a trip to the city, and schedule a viewing (with Devon in tow, of course!!!)
