Hello I've just started a needle lace network on Ning, called http://needlelacetalk.ning.com/ It is for true needlelace, punto in aria but will also include the knotted needlelaces such as oya and puncetto. I invite anyone with an interest in needle lace to join. It is very new with nothing happening just yet.
Please understand that it is not my intention to subtract anything from arachne, which I value highly. But I think needle lacers have a hard time finding each other, and I have done this in the hope of making it easier for them. The Ning software is easy to use, and members can upload photos very easily. Members can start groups which focus on a special interest or open general discussions. Right now tonight there is nothing to see. But I hope that will change in a few days. Those of you who teach, I hope will join. There is an "Events" feature and this could be used for posting notices about workshops you are teaching.
