I have knitted the three round flower shawls in the Second Book. I used a lace weight wool and size four needles for Daffodil, the same for Thistle and a 2-ply handspun merino on size 2 needles for the Rose of England. They came out about 72" in diameter (good thing I'm tall!) and make wonderful shawls. The Rose took nearly a year with the spinning, plying and knitting. I'm very pleased with the results on all three projects.

Hi All,

I have two books by Marianne Kinzel, published by Dover, both have a copyright
date of 1972, both are reprints of earlier editions.

They are "First Book of Modern Lace Knitting" and "Second Book of Lace
Knitting" and both have circular patterns. Even a couple deemed to be
tablecloths would make nice shawls.
