I had heard the idea that Ulrike uses and have used it ever since. I cut my
sticky plastic covering about an inch or so wider than the pricking and place
the pricking on the pillow, then lay the sticky plastic over the top of it,
securing the pricking to the pillow. I am presently working a large circular
piece of buckspoint with lots of bobbins and was experiencing the pricking
rising up on the pins. I took out more than half of my pins that I had left
in, pressed down on the pricking, and have not had a problem since. I think I
just left too many pins in the pricking than I needed.

BTW, I use the tongue depressors to corral my bobbins when not in use. I pile
them up on either side of the work area and release them as needed. I did make
an improvement to the wooden sticks by sticking strips of thin shelf liner to
the upper part, using double sided sticky tape. I got the liner roll at a
Dollar store and it is very thin. It makes a non-slip surface so that the
bobbins stay more secure, especially if the holder is not completely full. My
friend Kris Johnson gave me this idea. It also makes the pillow more colorful
as my shelf liner is bright purple.
