I know that someone out there can help me out. I have just received a lovely
old table topper. It is Japanese, circa (we believe) 1940 or so. I think? it
is silk based and tennerif. Not sure as I don't believe that I've seen any
close up. However my problem is it has some age marks on it. Other than this
(brown) it is in pristine condition. I would like to clean it but don't want
to mess it up. I have photos in my camera but can't access them right this
second. (I'm away from my home computer) I will be happy to send them to
anyone that wants to see them once I get home. Even the original tag (on some
kind of paper?) is still attached. We believe that the original buyer picked
it up in Japan right after the war.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
bobbi
