Sorry, Pene, my enthusiasm for that book let me forgot to read your whole mail. The book and the film are in origin French. My brother send me a CD, in French, which I can't see in full zise but in a smaller version. As far as I can say it is very near the book. And the cat from the concierge is such a beauty. Both are worth to find your attention. They announced the German version of the film for this spring.
