Dear Lace Friends,

Thank you all for the welcome. It is so nice to be back on arachne!

My husband is here with me till the 19th, so the weekend of the 15th is our
last weekend with my son here. .. . . So we already have a programme scheduled.

However, I have no plans for the 26th ! So we can meet up then. I'll be in
touch nearer the time, to get directions etc.

Yes, W. Pratt is very near Devon. Its pronounced De waan by the indian
community here, I presume it because Diwan is an punjabi surname. If fact, it's
only when I actually 'got' there, that I saw DEVON written on the pavements,
and realised its real name.

So maybe it called De waan because its easier to pronounce for the punjabis and
its more familiar . . . .there are other roads around the locality there with
indian names like Mahatma Gandhi Rd (M G Rd)etc. . . .

Take care
Sulochona
