"...UK airports...will still not allow scissors, nail clippers, tweezers,
knitting needles...worth the risk...(or) no choice but for the item to be
confiscated." Jacquie
I suppose this mean one must have pliable travel bobbins?  <smile>
On the lace knitting front, Bryspun needles seem to make it through most
everywhere, as they are a white pliable type needle (used to be cream/butter
colored, and are a form of milk casein).  The tips aren't ideal for fine lace
knitting, but will suffice.  I keep sets in my favorite lace knitting sizes,
just for travel.
Some bring a prepaid, self-address mailer, just in case their expensive or
favorite needles are at risk.  That means either stepping out of line, or
trusting someone else to post it, but perhaps helpful to some.
Best,Susan Reishus(Loved your bobbin lace tips, Jo.  Esp. the spiral one, as
the spine from a spiral notebook could be removed and used.  Really easy and
helps with rolling!)
