When leaving Heathrow (London) there had not been anywhere to mail anything (not even a mailbox), however on my most recent return to Canada Jacquie and I noticed that they have opened a Post Office on the departure level of Terminal 3. I don't think there is a mail box in Ottawa.

At Heathrow the check-in people ask if you have anything pointed in your luggage. I said "just my knitting" and was told that it would not be allowed through security. I do take my counted cross-stitch, but no nail-clippers (not allowed in Ottawa either). I have a spool of dental floss with the little metal cutter on the top which is stupid really because dental floss is so tough it would make a lovely garotte.

Malvary in Ottawa where we have a super weekend forecast for Victoria Day (to celebrate Queen Victoria's birthday - only in the colonies they say).
