Yes, the thread is linen. I still have small amounts on the cones I bought over 30 years ago, when I started making lace. We only used linen in those days!
Now I have had a look in the cupboard at them I find I still have some 30, 50, 80, 100, & 120 left. White and ecru. Goodness!! Some cones have quite a bit on them.. Hmmm!
