I would suggest that maybe you or your friend contacts David Springett to
see if he will give any advice on the bobbins. He probably has the most
knowledge about bobbins. Or alternatively speak to The Lace Guild and
maybe they could point her in the right direction for advice. There are
many antique dealers who attend Lace Days and she could also speak to one
for advice. In any event I would suggest that she seeks advice from more
than once source before she decides how to dispose of them. I envy her and
keep waiting for someone to offer me a chance like this, but it never seems
to happen.
