Flipping through TV channels while countering a migraine, I ran across a
travel show on PBS (US Publc Broadcast Station) with a hostess touring
Belgium.  Fortunately I was just in time to see her entering Bruges, and
showing ladies making lace.

They displayed the end product and of course an older woman moving a high
speed with the guide attempting it at a pillow, then taking detailed
instruction interspersed with the very proficient woman, and then back to the
lacers in the room.  She then exited the building stating she had finished her
project and in her show-n-tell, displayed a clump of thread and named it
"Russian ...(something)..." and they moved on to an organist.

If it is of interest, these shows tend to repeat and are viewed all over the
US (and Canada?) at different times.  The ID info on the website was:
Globe TrekkerBelgium & LuxembourgSaturday, June 19, 4:00 PM on  Antwerp's
diamond district, lace-making in Bruges and shrimp-fishing on horseback in

Of course the diamonds were of interest too, LOL (and as I used to sell
them).

Best,
Susan Reishus
