Tartu is celebrating Hansa Days this weekend, but yesterday I was busy cleaning our attic guest room. We are providing bed & breakfast for a German student who is attending a 2 week-long course at the Tartu University Language School learning Estonian before he returns in September.

After dinner last night I went for a wander in the town to have a look see - lots of people selling jewellery! A couple of old friends saw me first, & then I met another new Chinese friend, & then I spotted a young Aussie guy from Albury, NSW whom I met 3 weeks ago. This time his Estonian girlfriend was with him. After that I bought a lemon gelato from our favourite pizza place & half a kilo of beans from a vegetable vendor that hadn't packed up & wandered home a different way than usual.

This hasn't much to do with lace - but today is Clay Blackwell's birthday, so send her an e-mail.
Now I'm off with hubby to meet 2 more Australian friends for Sunday brunch.

Have a good week everyome,
Pene in Tartu, Estonia, where the heat has lessened after 3 weeks.
