Arlene
Welcome to this list. Where in the world do you live? If you tell us you may
be surprised to find someone who lives near you who could help.
I do have Jane's book, and may well be able to help you when I look the CD
out. Looking at the patterns, you will need around 66 pairs - 2 per pinhole.
Start with pattern 52, on the straight edge on the left hand side of that
pricking, with 2 pairs of bobbins per pinhole. You will then be working
around the circle. Pattern 55 makes the centre of the fan, and 56 the right
hand, and thus finishing section.
I would hang on four passive pairs across the entire starting row and then
let the bobbins carry on down either side of the fan, 2 pairs down either
side. I am sorry this is a brief explanation, but I am in a hurry as I am
due out now. Let me know if you need me to print out pattern 52 and do a
working diagram on the start of it, when I am home later.
