I thought that too, but when I found my Acorn bobbins I realised that the tail end of the bobbins Brian has shown doesn't have the trademark acorn.
I must get around to spangling my Acorn bobbins and put them into use - haven't needed them while working on my curtain because the thread is a little heavier and I look for bobbins with long necks to hold lots of thread. Love my aluminum ones for that.
