I didn't use a needle at all.
After I had made the lace trails - 2 trails on the top & one trail around the bottom - I used the gold passives to include the sequin waste & the sequins. It wasn't easy to join both sides together.

The pattern is from Anna magazine (Dec. 2005) and is one of a set of three.
