And I've stood in the snow at the top of an Austrian mountain, stitching
needlelace, in between watching my 5 year old and husband skiing. I was at
the top of the run, and needed something to do after they had gone out of
sight. Definitely portable!

Needlelace is very portable. I once sat on a coach from Yorkshire to
northern Italy stitching as I went through the various countries in
Europe.
