Oh good question, Jeri!

My wish is for a book teaching one to design lace in
the style of Old Flanders
or early Binche. There are a few about modern lace
design or torcon-type, but
I'd like to see one specifically take on the
questions of taking pairs from a
ground into and out of motifs, and the
thread paths in motifs to make them full.
Probably a book on designing floral
Bucks would address the same questions and
could be extrapolated to the
floral designs in old Flanders or early Binche, but
I don't know of one for
floral Bucks either.

Dear Lace Book Lovers,

Is there a lace
book you wish would be written in 2011?  (Good topic  for
group discussion,
as it may lead to something similar that already exists in
one of our lace
bulletins or in a book, or may convince someone to write a
book.)
