I read that message, Lorelei, and it made me laugh too! And I live in the UK. I think that some years ago we were meant to give up the Fahrenheit numbers we knew so well and use the Centigrade scale instead. We never quite made the switch <G>. Our weather forecasts now give Centigrade figures first, and then "that's xx degrees in Fahrenheit". In my head I have got more comfortable thinking in Centigrade now, but it still helps to be bilingual - we can then understand our US friends as well as our Euro neighbours.
