Hi, I wish to thank each and everyone that responded with answers. The hints were great. I've tried a number of them. I think I like using the low stick masking tape (also know as painters tape) the best, for attaching the beginning thread to the bobbin. I tried the little hair clips and that was fine but at times the clips got in the way. As for the hitch - - The wooden hooked bobbins work pretty well, as yet, only have three pairs of those. Will continue with all your ideas.
