Thanks so much for that information, Louise.  For those of us Across the Pond, 
a trip to London would include at trip to V&A specifically to look at their 
textiles of all sorts.  A beacon for such things.  So I have crossed London off 
my list for the duration.  And I was actually toying with visiting London 
during the sales that go through March for airfare and available hostel rooms.  

Lyn in presently sunny but cold Lancaster, Pennsylvania, 3 hours' drive 
southwest of New York, where we're bracing for that nasty ice storm mixed with 
snow coming tonight through Wednesday.
