We have a member of the UK Lace Guild committee in our Monday lacemaking group, and she told us some interesting information about the lacemaking in the recent 'Larkrise to Candleford'.

They consulted the Lace Guild about the lacemaking, and asked if someone could teach the actress how to make lace. Something along the lines of giving her a 5 minute lesson!

The hands we saw were someone from the Lace Guild - think she said it was possibly Gill Dye (not certain about that with my memory not being what it was).

The pillows were supplied by the Lace Guild.

The Lace Guild pointed out that the "finest point ground lace" was actually Maltese and asked them to change it, but they were told it couldn't be changed.
