I picked up a copy of this book a few years ago. In North America it was published by Scribner's and the ISBN is 684-13830-1. It's really a nice little book; only 76 pages but all of them good ;-) By the way, on the back of the dust jacket it gives a couple of interesting biographical highlights: she knew nothing about lace until she inherited some family pieces "some years ago" (that was in 1973), she trained as a watercolour artist at the famous Slade School of Art and "is generally interested in craftsmanship in all fields". A quick check of the history of the Slade school showed that the Slade who endowed the school was from Yorkshire, and so probably no relation to the Slades who were in Gabrielle Pond's family tree.
