Oh, Nancy, isn't it true. I made my own pillow from the instructions in Doris Southard's book, bought some Danish bobbins, the only ones available at the time, some hanks of Frederick Fawcett thread, and 8 ounces of 40/2 linen from Mannings Handweaver in south central Pennsylvania, actually a weaving and spinning shop, and thought this was a cheap hobby. HAH!!!
The thread is still cheap, but books are my downfall. Fortunately, I use Continental bobbins, but those aren't really cheap either. Thank goodness for ethafoam. Lyn in Lancaster, PA, where we've had TWO lovely days in a row. Wow. >From: Nancy Neff If I had known how much usable pillows and bobbins (even Continental bobbins) were going to cost me eventually I might never have started. Thank heavens I didn't know! Now it's too much fun to stop. >Nancy >Connecticut, USA - To unsubscribe send email to [email protected] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [email protected]. For help, write to [email protected].
