  Hello Sue and all,

I regularly send and receive fabric postcards thru the mail.  Some quilted,
some felted and even some with embellishments on the surface like buttons and
beads.  For stability I fuse them to a product called "Timtex"  available at
fabric stores or online.

To protect them I will sometimes place them into clear "postcard sleeves"
which I purchase at:

I don't always put them into a sleeve because it's fun to have them arrive
with the stamp on the back actually canceled.  I do always take them to the
post office and ask for "hand canceling"  which isn't a problem for them and
costs me .48 cents extra.

I think lace postcards would be great!  I'll try some myself, thanks for the
idea Sue.
