Hello All! For Robin & others--checking the Piecework magazine website, I verified that the July/August issue has articles on Oya. Karen & Laurie thanks for the "rest of the story", particularly under battlefield conditions. Mother Nature has really been on a tear this year. DH recently returned from Canada & there is a huge fire in the NWT. So much upset, it's hard to know what to do besides send encouragement from afar. David, dare I ask for a bit more detail on the threads used in your Excellent Scarf?? You mentioned Vietnamese silk--was that for the body of the scarf & gimps were something else, or...?? I'm referring to the close up that Clay posted: the pale blue part. Also wondering about the black stripes. Maybe this will be abundantly clear when I attend a Tonder workshop later this summer, but until then I'm clueless. In the meantime, I have come to the conclusion that I need to hire at least one geek to sort, file or trash the various emails that arrive! daily. Sort of a personal cyber-secretery. Is anyone else getting run over on the information highway?? At this rate, I will only have time to make lace in my dreams. Perhaps the Amish are onto something! Sincerely, Susan Hottle, Erie, PA USA
