I'm not so sure the gold "lace" is on the black sheer. Above the gathers at the knee, below the black gap, on the model's right-hand side, the "lace" sticks out/away from the black. It looks like the gathers at the knee cause the "lace" above them to form a ruffle. The top edge of the ruffle has the same gold threads (elongated picots?) as on the bodice. I'm not saying the "lace" is truly lace, but whatever it is, I don't think it's on the black sheer. Robin Robin P.
